CAPE CORAL, FL — On June 19, 2025, the Cape Coral Police Department’s Narcotics Unit launched an investigation into Julian James Garton-Miulli (DOB 08/10/1997) after receiving a tip that Garton-Miulli is a distributor of MDMA and THC/Marijuana products within Cape Coral. During this portion of the investigation, detectives were able to discover that Garton-Miulli sold over 28 grams of MDMA from his residence.
In August, detectives established that Garton-Miulli was engaged in MDMA trafficking; he was caught selling 22 grams of MDMA.
On October 1, 2025, a warrant was executed on Garton-Miulli’s residence, located at 540 SE 6th Place in Cape Coral, where detectives found the following:
- Four handguns
- AR pistol
- Rifle
- Two shotguns
- Over $5,600 in cash
- Six silvers bars
- Multiple varieties of pills and substances
- Amphetamines
- Mushrooms
- Marijuana
- THC gummies and vape pens
- MDMA
- Scale
Detectives located Garton-Miulli driving a 2024 Kia Seltos and initiated a traffic stop.
Based on the investigation, Julian James Garton-Miulli (DOB 08/10/1997) was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail on the following charges:
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.135 (1)(k)(1), Trafficking in MDMA (22 grams)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.135 (1)(k)(1), Trafficking in MDMA (over 28 grams)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (6) (a), Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: MDMA (9 grams)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (6) (a), Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Amphetamine (0.9 grams)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (6) (a), Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Marijuana (over 656 grams)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (6) (a), Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Mushrooms/Psilocybin (75 grams)
Based on the previous investigation, Narcotics Detectives, with the assistance of the Cape Coral Police Department’s SWAT team, executed a residential search warrant at another location: 2720 Beach Pkwy W in Cape Coral. Detectives recovered large amounts of narcotics, firearms, cash, and paraphernalia throughout the residence, including:
- Cocaine: 457.8 grams
- MDMA: 1,028 grams
- Amphetamines/Meth: 1,091.5 grams combined
- Marijuana: 17 pounds (plus plants)
- THC products (wax, oil, edibles, cartridges): ~44 pounds total
- Psilocybin mushrooms: 3.3 pounds
- Firearms: Glock 19x and a shotgun
- Cash, drug paraphernalia, grow equipment, and a safe
Based on that search warrant, Sean Matthew Balke (DOB 07/19/1973) was arrested and charged with the following:
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.1351 (2), Ownership, lease, rental or possession for trafficking or manufacturing a controlled substance
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.135 (1) (b) (1), Trafficking in Cocaine, to wit: Cocaine (457.8 grams)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.135 (1) (f) (1), Trafficking in Amphetamine, to wit: Amphetamine (1,091.5 grams)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (1) (a) (2), Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, to wit: Marijuana (17 pounds)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.135 (1) (m) (1), Trafficking in Synthetic Cannabinoids, to wit: THC (44 pounds)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (6) (a), Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Psilocybin Mushrooms (3.3 pounds)
- 1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.147 (1), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, to wit: equipment used to manufacture narcotics, 1st Degree Misdemeanor.
