(January 17, 2025) — Narcotics Detectives conducted an investigation into Tremayne Askins (DOB 03/04/1982) related to drug trafficking. During this investigation, Detectives obtained a search warrant for his residence.
While conducting surveillance prior to the execution of the search warrant, narcotics detectives observed Askins conducting a drug transaction out of his residence with an individual identified as Prataid Tansacha (DOB 04/06/1973). At the time, it was known there was a minor known to Askins inside the residence.
Detectives conducted a traffic stop of Tansacha and located a significant amount of narcotics that Tasancha later confessed to purchasing from Askins. Tansacha was found in possession of 28.2 grams of Psilocybin, 233.9 grams of cannabis, and three unidentified pills, which were sent to FDLE for testing.
Detectives observed Askins leaving his residence, and a traffic stop was conducted. During the traffic stop, Askins was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Morphine.
The Cape Coral Police Department’s SWAT Team executed the search warrant at Askins\’ residence, in which two minors were found inside. Narcotics detectives conducted a search within the residence and located 607 grams of Amphetamine, 341.8 grams of Cocaine, and 3,179 grams of Marijuana.
Tremayne Askins was arrested based on the previous sale observed, yields from the traffic stop, and a search warrant. He was charged with the following:
·    F.S.S. 893.135 (1)(f)(1)(a), Trafficking in Amphetamine (607 grams)
·    F.S.S. 893.135 (1)(b)(1)(a), Trafficking in Cocaine, to wit: Cocaine (341.8 grams)
·    F.S.S. 893.13 (6a), Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Psilocybin…..Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Mushrooms
·    F.S.S. 893.13(1)(a)(2), Possession with Intent to Sell a Controlled substance, to wit: Marijuana (3,179.1 grams)
·    F.S.S. 893.13 (6a), Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Methamphetamine
·    F.S.S. 893.13 (6a), Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Morphine
·    F.S.S. 893.13 (1a1), Sale of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Psilocybin
·    F.S.S. 893.13 (6a), Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Psilocybin
·    F.S.S. 893.1351 (3), Ownership, lease, rental or possession for trafficking or manufacturing a controlled substance while minor present or residing in the structure
Prataid Tansacha was arrested and charged with the following:
·    F.S.S. 893.13(6)(a), Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription
