On October 22, 2024 around 12 PM, officers working for the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a residence near the 3800 block of SW 8th Court in Cape Coral. An investigation revealed probable cause for the arrest of Caleb James Carson (DOB 01/01/1988) for multiple felony domestic battery charges.
Prior to officers making contact with Carson, he barricaded himself in the attic. No one else was in the home. After several hours attempting to make contact with Carson, the Cape Coral SWAT team was able to safely remove Carson from the attic and place him in custody.
Carson was taken to Lee County Jail and will be charged with the following:
—Domestic Violence Battery by Strangulation
—Resisting without Violence
