(August 9, 2024) — The Cape Coral Police Department received information that a female named Samantha Cupani (DOB 06/20/1990) had been selling Fentanyl in Cape Coral. Cupani would drive from Port Charlotte to Cape Coral to distribute Fentanyl. Based on this information, Narcotics Detectives launched an investigation.
Throughout the investigation, Narcotics Detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of Cupani and her accomplice, Donald Acquarelli (DOB 05/13/1987), for Possession and Sale of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl).
On August 8, 2024, Cupani and Acquarelli were located at 2603 Santa Barbara Blvd S (Wawa), selling Fentanyl.
Narcotics Detectives placed them both under arrest for the following charges:
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (1) (a) (1) – Sale of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Fentanyl, 1 Count, 2nd Degree Felony.
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.13 (6) (a) – Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Fentanyl, 1 Count, 3rd Degree Felony.
Arrested: Samantha Cupani (DOB 06/20/1990, 1999 136A Kings Highway, Port Charlotte, Florida)
Arrested: Donald Acquarelli (DOB 05/13/1987, 240 W End Drive, Punta Gorda, Florida)
