The Cape Coral Police Department is participating in ‘Operation Southern Slow Down,’ an annual traffic enforcement targeting speed and aggressive driving.
Operation Southern Slow Down is a joint effort with Florida Highway Patrol, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and southeastern states of Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. All five states and local law enforcement agencies conduct a week long driving enforcement campaign. The operation starts on July 15, 2024.
