On the evening of June 20, 2024, a detective working for the Cape Coral Police Department initiated a traffic stop in Cape Coral for several infractions, which yielded a large variety of drugs, paraphernalia, and a gun.
The detective identified the driver as Mark J. Siciliano (DOB 04/26/1993). Mr. Siciliano was extremely nervous and could not find the vehicle registration or proof of insurance. A K9 Officer conducted an open-air sniff on the vehicle, which yielded a positive alert. Upon searching the car, the detective found Mr. Siciliano to be in possession of over 50 grams of suspect methamphetamine, along with tramadol, alprazolam, and oxycodone. He was additionally found to be in possession of a concealed handcuff key and was in possession of two firearms.
He was subsequently arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail on the following charges:
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 893.135 (1) (f) (1) – Trafficking in Methamphetamine
–1 count in violation of F.S.S 893.135 (1C1A) Trafficking in Oxycodone
–2 counts in violation of F.S.S 893.13 (6a) Possession of controlled substance
–1 count in violation of F.S.S 893.147 (1), Possession of drug paraphernalia
–1 count in violation of F.S.S 790.07 (2), Possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony
–1 count in violation of F.S.S 843.021 (2), Possession of concealed handcuff key while in custody
