(May 9, 2024) — The Cape Coral Police Department is set to hold an impaired driving operation on May 10, 2024. This grant-funded operation will be titled, “Wolfpack: Stay on the Links & Off the Drinks on National Golf Day” and focuses on impaired driving enforcement throughout the city. As always, find a ride and get home safe.
****The operation was paid for with FDOT sub-grant funding.  Cape Coral currently ranks 7th out of 38 agencies in Impaired Driving for traffic fatalities and serious injuries on the Highway Safety Matrix – Ranking of Florida. To improve traffic safety in the City, the Department has partnered with FDOT’s Traffic Safety Office to bring additional enforcement and education through the implementation of saturation patrols.
