Three Arrested in Cape Coral Narcotics Investigation

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The Cape Coral Police Department Narcotics Unit’s thorough investigation into the distribution of cocaine in the city has resulted in the arrests of three people.

The investigation began after detectives received information about suspected street-level narcotics distribution in Cape Coral. As part of the investigation, detectives conducted undercover narcotics operations throughout the city.

The investigation revealed that Anthony Widzins (DOB 07/30/1985)John Dimaria (DOB 09/22/1969) and Leanna June Meadows (DOB 08/16/1988) worked together to distribute illegal narcotics throughout Cape Coral. Detectives subsequently developed probable cause linking all three suspects to the distribution of illegal narcotics.

On August 12, 2026, the Cape Coral Police Department SWAT Team executed a search warrant at 1114 SE 19th St, Cape Coral, where Meadows and Widzins were located. Both were taken into custody on outstanding narcotics charges.

Dimaria was also located and arrested on the outstanding narcotics charges, as well as additional charges stemming from a separate investigation.

The three suspects were transported to the Lee County Jail.

Arrests and Charges

Leanna June Meadows:

  • 3 counts of Deliver/Distribute Controlled Substance
  • 3 counts of Use of Two-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance without Prescription

Anthony Widzins:

  • 2 counts of Deliver/Distribute Controlled Substance
  • 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance

John Dimaria:

  • Deliver/Distribute Controlled Substance
  • Use of Two-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony
  • 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance without Prescription
  • Obstruction of Justice — Tampering with Evidence

Because children were reportedly present at the residence and during narcotics-related activity, CCPD detectives also notified the Florida Department of Children and Families.
