The Cape Coral Police Department arrested a Christopher Felix Santos (DOB: 01/15/1991) on July 7, 2026, following an armed burglary investigation at a residential property in Cape Coral.
At approximately 9:29 p.m., officers responded to reports of a suspicious man at a home. Witnesses reported observing a male subject walking around the property earlier in the day and returning later in the evening. Responding officers conducted a perimeter check and discovered the suspect inside a closed pool bathroom located within the screened lanai. After issuing verbal commands, the suspect, later identified as Christopher Felix Santos , exited the bathroom and was taken into custody without incident.
While the officer was detaining Santos, officers observed multiple firearms inside the bathroom, including a loaded AR Rifle, two handguns with optics and lights, a set of camo clothing, and blue tennis shoes.
Property Crime Detectives assumed the investigation and confirmed evidence of forced entry, including fresh pry marks on doors leading into the residence. Surveillance footage provided by a witness showed the suspect earlier in the day walking around the property and checking access points. Later footage captured the suspect returning to the residence and moving toward the lanai.
Based on the investigation, Christopher Felix Santos has been charged with Armed Burglary of a Dwelling, in violation of Florida Statute 810.02(2)(b).
