
On July 20, 2025, at approximately 11:29 p.m., Cape Coral Police Department officers responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on SW Embers Terrace.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male who reported an argument with his friend, David Rojas (DOB 08/23/1984). The dispute began after Rojas attempted to engage in sexual contact with the friend’s girlfriend and then threatened to harm both individuals.
The female victim stated that on July 20, she, her boyfriend, and Rojas returned home after spending the evening at the beach. She reported that while she was resting in the master bedroom, Rojas entered the room and sexually battered her. The victim stated she resisted and told Rojas to stop. Her boyfriend entered the room shortly after, observed the situation, and intervened. Officers noted visible injuries on the victim.
David Rojas left the scene before officers arrived but was located a short time later at a nearby hotel. He was taken into custody, interviewed, and then transported to the Lee County Jail on the following charges:
