Upon arrival, officers talked to witnesses on scene who said a man got into a verbal altercation with an employee, then attempted to steal the cash drawer. He then fled the scene in a silver Hyundai Elantra heading northbound on Del Prado Blvd N. Witnesses described the suspect is a white man in his mid 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a red long-sleeve shirt and dark grey joggers.

The surveillance video from the McDonald’s shows the man speaking with an employee near the register. When the employee set the cash drawer down, the man continued to engage in conversation with her, which escalated into a verbal argument. The male then walked behind the counter, forcing his way by the 2 employees, and grabbed the loose cash drawer. The male and two employees tugged against the cash drawer until the male let go. After the incident the male appears to continue the verbal argument, and then leaves the area in a silver vehicle.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify the suspect as Bray Allen Bamberger (DOB 01/03/1993).
