CAPE CORAL, FL — On July 21, 2026, at approximately 1:39 AM, a Cape Coral Police Department officer conducted a routine traffic stop in the 3400 block of Del Prado Boulevard South after observing multiple traffic infractions.
During the stop, a K9 Officer and his partner, K9 Venom, arrived on scene to assist. K9 Venom conducted a sniff around the vehicle, a black Dodge Durango, and alerted to the possible presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a backpack containing four separate clear plastic baggies filled with a crystal-like substance. A preliminary test confirmed the substance to be methamphetamine, with a total weight of 97.8 grams—a substantial amount well above trafficking thresholds.
The investigation determined the driver and sole owner of the vehicle, Tara Michele Flore (DOB: 08/28/1996), was arrested after evidence and statements connected her to the illegal contents.
Flore was taken to the Lee County Jail and booked for the following charges:
- Trafficking in Methamphetamine over 14 Grams (F.S.S. 893.135(1f1))
