
The Cape Coral Police Department’s Narcotics Unit launched an investigation that ultimately led to a search warrant being obtained for a residence believed to contain illegal narcotics.
On July 1, 2026, at approximately 6:50 a.m., a judicially authorized search warrant was executed by the Cape Coral Police Department SWAT Team at a residence located in the 3500 block of NW 8th Terrace in Cape Coral.
The home was occupied at the time of the search. Joseph Evan Evans (DOB 03/21/1997) was taken into custody on outstanding narcotics-related charges and transported to the Cape Coral Police Department for processing.
Once the residence was secured, Narcotics Detectives conducted a thorough search, resulting in the seizure of multiple illegal substances and related items, including:
- Methamphetamine (approximately 531.3 grams)
- Xanax (Alprazolam) pills (approximately 194.7 grams)
- Marijuana (approximately 924.8 grams)
- LSD
- Drug paraphernalia consistent with the storage and distribution of narcotics
- U.S. currency
As a result of the investigation, Joseph Evan Evans has been charged with the following:
- Trafficking in Methamphetamine, in violation of F.S.S. 893.135(1)(f)(2) (Capital Felony)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (Xanax), in violation of F.S.S. 893.135(1)(a)(1) (First-Degree Felony)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, in violation of F.S.S. 893.147(1) (First-Degree Misdemeanor)
