December 12, 2025, Cape Coral, FL — A 26-year-old Cape Coral man, Erik Davante-Marcus Hudgens (DOB 12/18/1998) has been arrested for unlawful sexual activity with a minor following an investigation by the Cape Coral Police Department’s Special Victims Unit.
On December 10, 2025, an officer responded to a local hospital regarding an allegation of a sex offense involving a minor and an adult male. After the initial response, the case was turned over to the Cape Coral Police Department Special Victims Unit for further investigation.​ Detectives obtained additional statements and coordinated the collection of evidence.​
The investigation revealed that the suspect hosted gatherings at his residence where alcohol and marijuana were provided, and that he knowingly engaged in unlawful sexual activity with the 16-year-old.
On December 11, 2025, members of the Special Victims Unit, with the assistance of SWAT, served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence in Cape Coral located at 102 Northwest 24th Terrace. ​
Following the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest 26-year-old Erik Hudgens for the following charge:
–1 count in violation of Florida State Statute 794.05(1), Unlawful Sexual Activity with Certain Minors, a second-degree felony
