Narcotics Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests and Seizure of Illegal Drugs

On July 24, 2025, the Cape Coral Police Department’s Narcotics Unit executed a targeted enforcement operation resulting from an ongoing investigation into illegal street-level drug activity within the City of Cape Coral. The investigation, initiated after the Narcotics Unit received credible information which resulted in several arrests, the seizure of illicit substances, and the recovery of drug paraphernalia.

In the morning hours of July 24th, detectives observed a vehicle leave from a known drug house located at 537 SE 6th Place in Cape Coral. Officers conduct a traffic stop based on a moving violation. During the traffic stop, a K9 alerted to narcotics. The detectives searched the purse of passenger, Pamela Brooks (DOB 12-21-1956), that located a white powdery substance and a cut straw. Both field-tested positive for cocaine. Brooks was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Brooks stated that the cocaine in her purse was purchased from Adrian Berrios at the house she had just left for $100.

Later that morning, detectives authored a search warrant for 537 SE 6th Place, Unit B, that was approved and executed by the Cape Coral Police SWAT Team and Narcotics Detectives. Adrian Juan Berrios (DOB: 03-14-2001) and a woman in the residence were detained. It should be noted that a young child was present and the Department of Children and Family services was notified.

During a comprehensive search, detectives located:

  • Marijuana 
  • Suboxone 
  • Cocaine and two digital scales with cocaine residue
  • Plastic baggies with cocaine residue 

As a result of the investigation, Adrian Juan Berrios, who is currently on pre-trial release for multiple narcotics sales charges, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance Without Prescription (Suboxone), F.S.S. 893.13(6a), 3rd Degree Felony
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance Without Prescription (Cocaine), F.S.S. 893.13(6a), 3rd Degree Felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, F.S.S. 893.147(1), 1st Degree Misdemeanor

Pamela Brooks was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), F.S.S. 893.13(6a), 3rd Degree Felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Straw), F.S.S. 893.147(1), 1st Degree Misdemeanor
