Cape Coral Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy – Now Accepting Applications!
The free 10-week Citizen’s Police Academy is an exciting opportunity for Cape Coral residents to gain a behind-the-scenes look at how their police department operates. Classes are held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30 PM.
Participants will attend presentations on a variety of law enforcement topics, including forensics, DUI enforcement, 911 operations, traffic stops, and firearm safety at the driving range. They’ll also learn about the department’s SWAT team and enjoy a live demonstration from the K-9 unit.
There are two sessions offered each year:
The Spring Session runs from March to May, and the Fall Session runs from September to November.
The program is open to Cape Coral residents only.
