(June 12, 2025) — In the early morning hours of Thursday, June 12, 2025, Cape Coral Police Department officers arrested a male suspect for burglary and theft at Front Porch Social, located at 4721 Vincennes Blvd in Cape Coral, Florida.
At approximately 3:32 a.m., officers responded to a report of a theft in progress. A male suspect was seen stealing alcoholic beverages from the establishment before fleeing on foot. The theft was witnessed by an overnight cleaning employee who immediately called 911.
A responding officer located the male walking near closed businesses northeast of Vincennes Boulevard and Cape Coral Parkway East. The individual, identified as Mark Francis Raposa Jr. (DOB 12/26/1987), was detained. He was found carrying multiple alcoholic beverages in a black backpack.
The business owner confirmed the items had been stolen. The recovered items, valued at $150, included:
- 14 cans of 12 oz. White Claw
- 3 bottles of Sacandi Brut (750 ml)
- 1 bottle of Mezzacorona Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5 liter)
After being read his Miranda rights, Raposa Jr. initially claimed he had obtained the alcohol from a nearby convenience store, but his description was inconsistent with the store’s actual location. He was arrested and taken to the Lee County Jail on the following charges:
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 810.02(3)(c), Burglary of Occupied Structure
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 812.014(2)(f), Petit Theft $100–$750
