(January 7, 2024) — On January 11, 2024, the Cape Coral Police Athletic League (PAL) will be holding a fundraiser to help connect at-risk kids with sports opportunities.
Cape Coral PAL is more than just a sports program—it’s a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to build strong relationships between our police officers and the kids in our community, change lives, and empower at-risk youth through athletics.
The Comedy Night fundraiser will feature Comedian RC Smith and will be hosted by John Melendez. Melendez rose to fame on the Howard Stern Show as “Stuttering John,” who did memorable street interviews. He was later hired by Jay Leno to be a comedy writer and announcer of the Tonight Show.
Money raised at this event will go directly to the Cape Coral Police Athletic League to sponsor children who want to be involved in basketball, baseball, cheerleading, gymnastics, boxing, archery, and more.
The event is on January 11 at 6:30 PM at the Lake Kennedy Center, located at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner. There will also be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.
