(November 7, 2024) — On June 4, 2024, Detectives in the Special Victim’s Unit for the Cape Coral Police Department launched an investigation based on a CyberTip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which alleged child pornography being uploaded by an unknown person.
Based on this tip, Detectives found multiple different examples of child pornography and found the internet user the material belonged to. The material was excessively graphic, depicting infants and toddlers. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the user’s residence and seized multiple devices for analysis.
Further examination of the devices revealed over ten videos and numerous photographs of child pornography, all belonging to Michael Dean Neuman (DOB 01/13/1963).
On November 6, 2024, Neuman was located and taken to the Lee County Jail on the following charges:
–10 counts in violation of F.S.S. 827.071(5)(a), Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child
