(September 6, 2024) –The Cape Coral Police Department’s Narcotics Unit launched an investigation into the sale of methamphetamines by Walter Stephen Barrick (DOB 10/16/1976).
The investigation led to probable cause for the arrest of Barrick. A search warrant for his residence, located at 3731 Pelican Boulevard in Cape Coral, was approved. The search warrant was based on a two-month investigation, which included two prior sales of controlled substance (methamphetamine) charges within 1000 feet of a school.
On September 5, 2024, the Cape Coral Police Department’s SWAT team assisted with the execution of a search warrant on Barrick’s residence. Barrick was located and arrested on the above-mentioned charges and subsequently charged with additional narcotics offenses stemming from the search warrant.
Walter Barrick was taken to the Lee County Jail and charged with the following:
–2 counts in violation of F.S.S. 893.13(1c1), Sale of a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a school, to wit: methamphetamine
–2 counts in violation of F.S.S. 893.13(6a), Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: methamphetamine
