(July 11, 2024) — In early July, a Juvenile Victim was approached by a man at the Victim\’s place of work. The man, later identified as Miles Andrew Jefferies (DOB 12/10/1985), gave the Victim a box with a gift with his phone number inside.
Later, a person posing as the Victim texted Mr. Jefferies several times, telling him the Victim was underage, but Mr. Jefferies continued with verbally speaking of explicit acts and sending inappropriate photos and a video to whom he thought was a juvenile.
Mr. Jefferies was taken to the Lee County Jail and charged with the following:
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 847.0138, Transmission of Material Harmful to Minors, 3rd Degree Felony
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 847.0135(3), Use of Computer to Lure Minor, 3rd Degree Felony
