(June 19, 2024) — A 28-year-old man was arrested on charges of sexual assault on a minor after a search warrant was executed on the suspect and his residence today. He is currently in the Lee County Jail.
On May 20, 2024, the Cape Coral Police Department began an investigation into a past-occurred sexual battery at 1521 SW 47th Terrace, Cape Coral, Florida. A 13-year-old victim reported she was sexually battered on multiple days by a family friend while staying at the home. Kerim Yesan Jr. (DOB 12/22/95) was identified as a suspect. Yesan was located and interviewed.
After a thorough investigation, Kerim Yesan Jr. was charged with the following:
–2 counts in violation of F.S.S. 794.011(5)(a), Sexual Assault by a person 18 or older on a victim under 18
