On Thursday, June 13, 2024, at approximately 3 PM, Officers working for the Cape Coral Police Department responded to a residence in Southeast Cape Coral for the report of a kidnapping in progress.
The call notes stated that the biological mother of the children, Angela Lynn Fults (DOB 01/09/1987), arrived at the call location, took possession of the children, and left abruptly.
The father of the children said that he has a temporary court order granting him sole responsibilities; he was able to provide the paperwork supporting this. Â He was also concerned because he believed that Angela had been experiencing mental health issues.
Responding officers quickly located Angela and the children at a local Cape Coral Target. All children were recovered unharmed. Angela was unable to give Officers a clear response as to why she took the kids.
The children were returned back to the care and custody of their father. Angela Fults was arrested and charged with the following:
–1 count in violation of F.S.S. 787.03, Interference with Custody, Third Degree Felony
